Preceded by months of cryptic and highly effective viral marketing, it’s a big swing from indie film distributor NEON and boasts a strong genre pedigree in writer/director Osgood Perkins, and stars Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe. This week we’re going back to where it all started. We’re doing Cage at his most unhinged! That’s right! We’re talking mother fuckin Vampire’s Kiss!

Is it hot ass trash that isn’t actually any good, but it’s “Cage doing Cage” so we have to love it? Or is it actually a misunderstood, understated gem from the 80’s? I guess you will have to dedicate an hour or so to finding out, won’t you?

Ep297: Willy’s Wonderland

Greetings, my young idiot friends. For quite a few years now everyone has been riding the dee of one Mr. Nicolas Cage. Movie goers around the world just love his quirkiness and his “ability to just throw himself into a roll”. Imagine what it would be like if he could just go “full Cage”.

Well, friends, I call bullshit. I don’t think Nick Cage is a great actor, and I don’t think he’s that “quirky”. You may disagree, and ultimately I don’t care, but we gon’ see today! Ever heard of the game Five Nights at Freddy’s? Yeah, so has Nick Cage, and he did a FNAF movie, that is “definitely not a FNAF movie”, and it’s called Willy’s Wonderland. (Review at 22:00) That’s right, full rage Cage, fighting muppets. This is what you goofs wanted, now let’s see if it stinks, stinks like shit.
