Ep186: Halloween – WGT

Happy Halloween! We totally held back this episode just so we could release it on Halloween! Isn’t that smart and spooky of us? We hope you’ve got your costume, your candy and some time to kill because your favorite idiots are about to discuss 2018’s Halloween! (Review starts at 31:56)

Ever since the announcement of the newest installment in the franchise the horror world has been split right down the middle. While some welcome a fresh perspective on the original, many are fans are upset that their precious franchise has been changed. What did we think? Who fuckin cares?!

This guy’s not gonna leak all over my ice cream, is he? It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 186!

Ep185: Terrified (Aterrados)

For me, the third week of October is the saddest time of the year because it is the longest amount of time until the next Telluride Horror Show. If you missed the festivities this year you can rest easy because we’ve got you covered! This week we’ve not only got our wrap up for the Telluride Horror Show 2018, but we’re reviewing Terrified (Aterrados) of the movie from the fest that you can stream on Shudder RIGHT NOW! (Review starts at 29:13)

Synopsis: No one can explain what is going on in an ordinary suburban neighborhood in Buenos Aires. Voices are being heard from kitchen sinks. Bodies are levitating. Evil is here. It is up to a doctor, her colleague, and an ex-cop to get to the bottom of this neighborhood nightmare.

We’re trapped in closet on Christmas with Santa trying to murder us. How fucked up is that? Not as fucked up as the Who Goes There Podcast episode 185!

Ep184: Hounds of Love – WGT

What’s up, dummies? Sorry for the delay in getting the episode posted, I was busy having fun at the Telluride Horror Show. Don’t worry, I brought you something from my travels. His royal majesty, King Sam, has allowed this weeks movie to be chosen by none other than former King Turk, and Sir Turk does not disappoint.

This week we will be discussing the 2016 Australian film Hounds of Love (review starts at 15:55). This film, as well as the discussion surrounding the film deal heavily with rape, and abuse of women. Just a heads up.

Don’t you think it would be better if you referred to “it” as “him”? No, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 184!

Ep183: Hell Fest – WGT

October is chugging right along; the leaves are changing, pumpkins are popping up on people’s doorsteps, and thousands are lining up at haunted houses around the country to prove they ain’t afraid of no ghosts. Speaking of haunted houses: have y’all seen Hell Fest?! More importantly: should you see Hell Fest? Lucky you, we’re going to tell you exactly what to think! (Review starts at 29:30)

Ep182: Hell House LLC 2: The Abaddon Hotel & Housewife

It’s finally October! Let’s be honest. Most of us get a little bit excited when the calendar flips over to October; leaves changing, Halloween decorations, pumpkin spice everything, and a shit ton of horror movies on T.V.! For us here at the Who Goes There Podcast, October also means the Telluride Horror Show! We’re starting October off the right way with a Telluride double feature!

First we’re kicking things off with Housewife (review starts at 14:00). Housewife screened at Telluride Horror show in 2017 and is the second film from Baskin director Can Evrenol. Next we’re diving in to Hell House LLC 2: The Abaddon Hotel. (Review starts at 40:00) While HHLLC2 didn’t screen at the festival, it is the sequel to the original Hell House LLC which screened in 2015.

This is life’s ultimate cruelty. It offers us a taste of youth and vitality, and then it makes us witness our own decay. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 182@
