As orange rapist continues to appease his handlers and inches ever close to the gaping jaws of oblivion, the Mandalorian and Gulag is shown up in historic fashion by two indie horror movies, and it is glorious.

But we digress, this episode is a double review of 28 YEARS LATER: THE BONE TEMPLE and the first Sam Raimi directed horror (horror comedy) film in 17 years, SEND HELP.

Bruce Campbell To Star In Ash vs The Evil Dead TV Show

evildead1Breaking news this Monday afternoon as Variety reports that Starz has ordered a follow-up series to the cult The Evil Dead film franchise, titled Ash vs. Evil Dead!

The new show will reteam director Sam Raimi with longtime producing partner Rob Tapert and star Bruce Campbell, who will reprise his iconic role as Ash(!), the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. Sam Raimi and Bruce Campbell Making Evil Dead TV Series, Campbell To Star

evildeadremakeLast week  San Diego Comic-Con that he’s been developing a television series based on his The Evil Dead franchise.

He also explained on the “The Last of Us” panel that he and his brother Ivan, along with Bruce Campbell, are currently writing the Evil Dead series.

Shortly there after, Campbell responded to a fan, via Twitter, confirming that the intentions are for him to star in said series. Continue reading →

Sam Raimi/Sony Producing “The Last of Us” Live Action Movie

The_Art_of_The_Last_of_Us_05Screen Gems will officially distribute the live action film The Last of Us based on the critically-acclaimed PlayStation 3 exclusive video game, developed by Naughty Dog.

Neil Druckmann, the Creative Director for the game, will also write the script for the film.

On behalf of Naughty Dog, the project will be produced by Co-Presidents’ Evan Wells and Christophe Balestra, as well as Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Straley, along with Sam Raimi via their Ghost House Pictures banner. Continue reading →
