Waxwork Records Announces Horror Soundtrack Subscription
Horror-centric label Waxwork Records has announced details for their 2015 subscription package and it’s chock full of incredible soundtracks that you’ll be dying to get your hands on! The subscription will include the soundtrack to the 1974 sci-fi thriller Phase IV, the 1984 cult classic C.H.U.D., this year’s renowned Starry Eyes, and the incredibly rare score for Clive Barker’s Nightbreed! There are also plans for a fifth “very special release” that will be announced in the future.
That’s five LPs for a total of $180 (includes shipping) and that includes “subscriber-Only colored wax”, “surprise exclusives including merchandise, apparel, digital downloads, enamel pins, patches, and more”, and no worries about loading up the site when a title goes on sale! Continue reading
Death Waltz Releasing Silent Night, Deadly Night & Christmas Evil Soundtracks on Vinyl
Death Waltz Recording Company has just released the soundtracks to the 1984 Christmas slasher Silent Night, Deadly Night as well as the 1980 horror flick Christmas Evil, both on vinyl. Each soundtrack has been released in limited quantities.
Silent Night, Deadly Night will be released on a double LP and will be limited to 400 copies worldwide. One disc will be transparent red/solid white split while the other will be transparent red and green. A super limited edition of one disc transparent red and one disc transparent green will be made available for record stores. The liner notes will feature entries from composer Perry Botkin, co-executive producer Scott Schneid, and writer Michael Hickey. Continue reading
Waxwork Records Officially Announces Trick r Treat Vinyl
Waxwork Records has officially announced that they will be releasing the soundtrack to the 2007 anthology horror film Trick R Treat on 2xLP vinyl. The expanded double LP features over an hour of music that has been mastered for vinyl and supervised by the composer.
Pre-orders will begin today (10/14) and the official release date is 10/28.

Waxwork Records to Release Friday The 13th OST on Vinyl
Yup, there’s no denying horror soundtracks on vinyl are a huge hit right now, and what better time than Friday the 13th for Waxwork Records to announce they are releasing the original soundtrack to Friday the 13th on vinyl?
They’d been hinting at it on their Instagram page for a while and just today revealed the cover art for the release. You can check out a short clip of the mixing here.
You Can Still Get The Ghostbusters Glow in the Dark 10″!
I wasn’t able to make it out to Record Store Day 2014, but 2 of the releases I really wanted are still available! One of them I’m keeping a secret, however, the Ghostbusters glow in the dark 10″ is now available for preorder over at Sound Stage Direct!
The “ecto-green”, glow in the dark 10″ was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film, and features the hit Ghostbusters theme (as made famous by Ray Parker Jr.) backed with the original 1984 dance remixes of the track. Best part, it’s only $17!
Creepshow Soundtrack Gets Sweet Vinyl Release
Remember when we said “horror soundtracks on vinyl are the new big thing”? In keeping with that theme; Waxwork Records has released photos of the packaging for their upcoming Creepshow vinyl. The artwork, done by Gary Pullin, is rich, vibrant, and wonderfully representative of the film. The vinyl shown below is a gorgeous white with red splattermarks and the gatefold has several pages built-in. Pre-orders for the package begin on April 1st via Waxwork Records. Continue reading
Last House on The Left Picture Disc
I shouldn’t be telling you guys this, that will just make it harder for me to find one; One Way Static has announced that their remastered Last House On The Left soundtrack, which was composed and performed by David Hess, will be getting a limited picture disc variant for Record Store Day. Limited to only 1,500 copies, the records are almost certainly going to sell out within minutes and become a collector’s item, it hits stores on April 19th!
