A lot of great things have come out of Australia: Nick Cave, 1997’s The Ugly, Kylie Minogue’s butt. Australia’s newest export is the supernatural horror flick The Babadook! We first heard about this film over a year ago, and have been trying ever since to get our grubby little hands on. We’re joined by our buddy Cody from Three B Zine to answer the questions: Did it live up to the hype? Did we see children getting hurt through the whole movie? Did we drink a ton of beer during the movie and the recording of this episode? Grab your Fosters and Vegemite, we’re going to a land down under, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 31!
This weekend is our second Who Goes There Podcast: Frights & Pints Movie Night! If you missed the last one, what happens is, we take over the beautiful outdoor patio at The Ugly Dog Pub (6344 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115) and show a sweet horror movie on the projector. We have drink specials, giveaways, free pizza, and a chance to meet other cool horror lovers. This month we’re showing the cult classic Killer Klowns From Outer Space!
Admission is free, every drink purchase gets you a raffle ticket to win awesome horror prizes. We’ll have our Who Goes There Podcast beer coozies for sale for $3, there’s free pizza for those who come early, and retro video games on the projector after the movie, so come get your Mario Kart on, while drinking beer outside! Best part is, it’s dog friendly, I’m bringing my main bitch!
Here it is, our dirty 30! It seems oddly appropriate that our 30th episode would be a Halloween episode, with our good friend Amigo The Devil, about a movie that is “as horror as horror gets”. In what is, without a doubt one of the most funny episodes we’ve ever done, we take a look at 2012’s Found, and things get weird. In what Jorge describes as “the most uncomfortable conversation I’ve ever been a part of”, we’ve got mammary mastication, edible eyeballs, adolescent ball gags, severed head sex acts, blood baths, and our usual stupid jokes. So sit tight, and keep the home fires burning, and if we’re not back by dawn, call the president. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast, episode 30!
We’ve got something really special for you this time around; we watched a movie that we both actually liked…mostly. We’ve got amatuer assassins, He-man style warriors, bath salts, creepy claymation cockroach people, Frankenboobs, African tribesman, and a gay Jesus? Yeah, all of that in a 90 minute movie! We watched ABC’s of Death 2, and boy did we have thoughts and opinions!
From here on out things should be running a little more smoothly, so put your bed sheet over your head, grab your candy bucket, and head to the pumpkin patch, we’re waiting for the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It’s Who Goes There Podcast episode 29!
Tune in next time when we check out 2012’s Found with our good friends Amigo The Devil! (It’s already been recorded, so yeah, it’ll happen) While you’re being awesome and listening to this check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and subscribe to our show on iTunes.
We need to learn, never tease the next episode. This episode is coming to you a bit late, it was supposed to be about Sleepaway Camp, featuring our friend Lauren Ashley Carter, however due to technical difficulties we couldn’t make that episode happen. (YET!)
Fear not! We rounded up the always fun Alia, and Chris and took a look at some of the recent news in the world of horror, including the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, a real life Purge, Ghostbusters 3, and a new Silent Hill game! If that wasn’t enough, we walk down memory lane with 1991’s cult classic The People Under The Stairs. We’re eating our enemies and spitting out the buckshot, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 27!
Cooooooooooooooooon! Comic Con is over, summer is in full swing, and it’s hotter than two naked ladies in a pepper patch here in San Diego, so we went to use the air conditioning at the movie theater. While we were there we saw 2014’s Deliver Us From Evil and boy oh boy did we have thoughts and opinions on this movie. We needed an expert on demonic possession to help us out; we brought in possessed bride Erin Breen (Devil In My Ride) to drink beer and share her thoughts. Hang on folks, we’ve got a baby chucking, knife fighting, cat hating, demon possessed show for ya. Eat of my body, and drink of my blood, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast.
We’re bringing you this episode a week late, unfortunately we had our recording software crap the bed and lost a few minutes near the beginning. We tried really hard to recover it, and thought about recording a different episode, but we had so much fun, and Erin was such a great guest, we decided to bring it to you anyway. We hope it’s not too unnerving.
We’re getting this up a day late, but that only because we love America so much, we celebrated the shit out of her birthday, and it took us a few days to recover. We’re also celebrating a birthday here at Who Goes There! We’ve been going at it for a year now, 25 episodes and we’re just getting started. We’re kicking off year two with aliens, “Jeff The Dog Faced Boy”, Jack Burton’s porno dialogue, a look down memory lane, and a movie that for some unholy reason managed to desexualize a fully nude Scarlett Johansson – 2013’s Under The Skin. Is it the critcal darling it’s made out to be? Or is it an out of this world pile of shit? Put on your stars and bars, we’re doing this shit for America! It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 25!
Episode 26 we take a look at Deliver Us From Evil, with special guest Erin Breen of Devil In My Ride. While you’re being awesome and listening to this check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and subscribe to our show on iTunes.
We hope you’re hungry, because we’ve got a whopper of an episode for you! Weighing in at 86 minutes; this episode has bad Mark Wahlberg impressions, lumberjack bukkake, head crushing, what Harry Potter would look like on drugs and 30 pounds heavier, then add in buckets of blood! We take a look at the 2013 alien slasher flick Almost Human. So settle in, this is gonna be good. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 24.
P.s. Since recording Matt has seen Slither.
We’ve seen and said some really horrible things on this podcast over the last year, all of that is child’s play compared to what transpired this time. Our good friend Danny (Amigo The Devil) was in town from tour so we decided to bring him and Hayley back on the show. We had a lovely day full of home cooking, beers, lots of laughs, and they thanked us by showing us Amerikan Holokaust; the most vile, disgusting, low budget, gore and nudity filled film we’ve ever covered on the Who Goes There Podcast. You’ll learn about fourth meal, how to make a turtleneck for your turtle, learn a killer chili recipe, and hear our guests break Jorge. Sometimes, sometimes ya just gotta eat the doo-doo, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 23.
A while back we were sitting around with our buddy Carlos “Warm Babies” Bielma discussing the Walking Dead Season 4 and decided to record a fun “season wrap-up mini episode”, then shit got stupid and it turned into a “full length mini episode”.
Now, before you go whining and say “the season ended well over a month ago!”, we’d like to say, “shut your stupid face”! If you’ve listened to one of the previous episodes with Carlos, you’d understand it’s taken us that long to edit this trainwreck. We also try out “Dock Street Walker“, a beer made specifically for the season finale by the fine folks at Dock Street Brewery in Philadelphia. They were kind enough to send us a couple of bottles of the American pale stout, made with cranberries with roasted goat brains. Yeah, goat brains.
So grab a beer (you’re gonna need it), and find out once again, why we swear we’ll never have Carlos back on the show. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast Walking Dead Season 4 wrap-up minisode.
