EPISODE 451: UNDERTONE

Hell answers to us, for we are The Who Goes There Podcast! We’re back!

Earlier this year A24 released this 90 minute flick about a paranormal podcaster and her impaired co-host who take a deep dive into some anonymously sent audio files. And yes, of course our protagonist is dealing with some serious emotional issue, in this case being the caretaker of her bed-ridden/terminally ill mother… make sure to show pictures and little figurines of the Virgin Mary because that’s thematic and scary doooooooood.

The film promises slow-burn thrills, auditory dread and immersive sound design. Does it deliver? Do the character interactions which are MOST OF THE MOVIE feel natural and unforced and give us a reason to care?

“Don’t be afraid of the dark. Be afraid of the silence.” It’s The Who Goes There Podcast Episode 451!

EPISODE 391: TALK TO ME

This episode we finally discuss A24’s recent breakout, Talk To Me. Serving as the feature film directorial debut of brothers Danny and Michael Philippou, the movie revolves around a group of teenagers experimenting with a mysterious embalmed hand which allows them to contact, and temporarily be inhabited by, spirits. Needless to say, things go too far. Prior to writing and helming the film, the Philippou Brothers created and have operated Australian Youtube Channel RackaRacka since 2013, known for it’s horror/comedy videos.

“If you die while they’re in you, they have you forever.” It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 391!
