Universal Pictures will be celebrating Christmas with their evil Santa Claus movie, Krampus, by releasing the Legendary Pictures’ anthology on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, setting it up for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The film, a twisted horror comedy set around the Christmas holiday, is to be directed by Trick ‘r Treat‘s Michael Dougherty. Dave Grohl Channels Carrie For Ice Bucket Challenge
By now we’ve all seen this ridiculous ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS. Whether you’ve done the challenge, or are on the “don’t waste water” side of things, the “challenge” has been ahuge success and given us some great videos, like this new one from Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl channeling his inner “Carrie“.
The clip starts off innocently enough, with Grohl explaining who he is, the purpose of the video, and then calling out Stephen King (who accepted his challenge), John Travolta, and Jack Black. Continue reading
Waxwork Records to Release Starry Eyes Soundtrack on Vinyl
Waxwork Records has announced that they will be releasing the score to this year’s Starry Eyes, a gory horror-thriller that the company describes as a mix between, “…Polanski and Cronenberg.” The music was composed by Jonathan Snipes, who also composed Room 237.
The film is described as: “A hopeful young starlet uncovers the ominous origins of the Hollywood elite and enters into a deadly agreement in exchange for fame and fortune.”

View The Uncut Opening of “SoulMate”
Witching Hour Films, the UK-based production company behind Axelle Carolyn’s feature debut Soulmate has made available in full the film’s opening scene, widely discussed after being cut to adhere to demands by the BBFC.
An ongoing topic of conversation between Carolyn and much of her followers and the horror community, the scene below is perhaps most shocking because it’s tone is visceral and poetic, rather than graphic and gross, as the forcing of cuts would have you believe. The mandate to trim is something of a baffling one, and certainly unfortunate, but not uncharacteristic of the British Board of Film Classification. Continue reading

Shaun and Ed; the lovable, zombie fighting misfits from Shaun of the Dead are going to return in an upcoming Disney Halloween special!
Simon Pegg revealed on Twitter that he and Nick Frost will once again play their Shaun characters in “Phineas and Ferb’s” upcoming Halloween special.

A new Texas Chainsaw Massacre was on the way, as confirmed by The Wrap.
They learned who is behind the screenplay: Black List scribe Seth M. Sherwood, who will be penning the teenage years of Leatherface.
The new incarnation will take place before Tobe Hooper’s 1974 cult classic, making it a massive franchise prequel. Continue reading

Recently at a Sony press conference Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear Solid) casually invited people to check out an “interactive trailer” for a new game called P.T. on the Playstation Network. Once you completed the terrifying hour long “trailer” you unlocked the trailer (available in the comments) for Silent Hills!
