Don’t put away your Halloween decorations yet, we still have a ton of fall horror television lingering around! Chris was in the middle of moving back to San Diego and couldn’t make the show, so we brought in our buddy Shaemus from the WWE (aka our buddy Joe) to help us take a look at some of the current fall lineup.
If you’ve been watching American Horror Story: Freak Show, then you know the FX series is getting bit stale. It’s a bit unfortunate as the first three seasons were pretty damn spectacular – but it’s clear something’s broken, which means it’s time to fix it.
FX Networks CEO John Landgraf tells TVLine Sunday at the Television Critics Association winter press tour changes are coming, alerting us to internal debate over the direction of the Ryan Murphy-created anthology series. He also knows what the arc is for the fifth season, (presumably) returning this October. Continue reading →

We told you last week that the upcoming fourth season of American Horror Story would follow a traveling circus in the 1950’s. We are now able to confirm that new new season will be titled American Horror Story: Freak Show, and the shows producers have stated, season 4 will move away from the light-hearted (lack of) horror of Coven, and return to the much darker stylings of Asylum.
The series, returning this fall, is set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950. “Freak Show” finds Jessica Lange playing a German ex-pat who is managing one of the last freak shows in the U.S. Continue reading →

Hello there chiiiiiildren! We took a different approach to the episode this week, we were having drinks with our buddy Cody from ThreeBZine.com. and decided “Hey! We’ve had tons of beers, why not do a podcast?!” So we did, and it’s amazing. We don’t do a movie review this time around. Instead, we talk horror news, movies that have scared us, what we want from horror movies, and a lot more. Find out why Jorge feels guilty for banging weenie, what Matt is actually good for, and all kinds of other dumb shit you’ll lose brain cells hearing. Tune in next time when we still do whatever we want; because in a land of crap, we’re the shit!
The first season of American Horror Story, Murder House, covered a variety of haunted house/ghost story horror tropes. Season two, Asylum, concerned serial killers, aliens, and demonic possession among other things. Coven was all about witchcraft, voodoo, and murderous mayhem. With the third season ending last week, what kind of season long tale of terror comes next?
For the longest time, rumors and fan speculation led many to believe that the fourth season would be called Circus and revolve around a spooky traveling big-top. Fan made posters mistaken for the real deal added fuel to the idea.
Series creator Ryan Murphy recently put those rumors to rest in an interview with Entertainment Weekly: “I saw those posters. I don’t know where people came up with that idea. Sometimes I think its people wanting us to do topics and doing fan posters. No one has completely guessed what it is.”
Though the idea has been shot down, Murphy did hint at what Season Four has in store. “(Season Four’s) a combination of two time periods, with the main one being the 1950′s. I don’t know. We haven’t started writing it yet, so I don’t really know the tone. I like that we had a lot of comedy this year, and I like the comic characters, so I think that will remain.”
A cross-period piece possibly similar to Season Two’s Asylum? Very possible. Being set in the 50′s could potentially open it up to all kinds of genre and historical horrors dated at that time period. As the series has proven time and time again in seamlessly melding. The Red Scare. The Cold War. Suburbia. Nuclear power. Giant monsters. B-Movies. Just the tip of the ice berg.
We have a long time coming until new details will be revealed, so what do you, the viewers at home think the next season of American Horror Story will be about?
