Ep250: After Midnight – WGT

Alia is back to discuss After Midnight with the idiots.  We started this show in 2013 and the very first episode we did was on an unknown zombie film called The Battery. During the episode we were fortunate enough to talk to director Jeremy Gardner who told us about the film he wanted to make next. Seven years later that film has been released under the name After Midnight. (Review at 24:49)

We love The Battery so much that not only have we used it as a point of comparison on how to do cheap films, good films, and good story telling, we also did two whole episodes on it! (Episode 1 and 70). We’ve been waiting a long time for After Midnight. Does it live up to the hype? Are we going to be casually referencing this movie for the next seven years? Tune in to find out!

Ep. 72 Cell w/ Christian Stella – Who Goes There Podcast

cell_ver4It would seem as though we no longer screen our guests here at the Who Goes There Podcast. Somehow Christian Stella has wormed his way back onto the show to really bum us all out. We watched the most recent Stephen King abortion…I mean adaptation Cell. Guys, I know we shouldn’t be spoiling the episode in the description, but this movie…is SHIT. So there’s that. We also touch on some Greasy Stranglers, and we get P.O.S.’ feeling’s on Half Cocked Concepts. Here’s to swimmin’ with bow-legged women, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 72.

Ep 71 Brainscan w/ Christian Stella – Who Goes There Podcast

brainscanWe’re firm believers in keeping our friends close and our enemies closer. For this reason, we’ve brought enemy of the show Christian Stella (Director of Photography on The Battery and Tex Montana) to set the record straight on a few things. We get Christian drunk and learn some sweet new things about The Battery, and the insanity of Larry Fessenden’s Christmas parties. We also fawn over Lauren Ashley Carter, talk about a few new films (including one starring one of Matt’s favorite wrasslers), discuss Christian’s wife’s now famous breasts, shape shifting German Shepherds, the totally gnarly 90’s, and Edward Furlong’s dick. Oh yeah, we also review the totally bodacious 90’s mindfuck Brainscan! This is a humdinger of an episode, don’t miss this one! Fuck you. Gimme a bottle of booze, here’s my dollar, suck my dick! It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 71!

Ep 70 The Battery Revisited – Who Goes There Podcast

TheBatteryAlternatePosterAnd it all comes full circle. When we started this show, we decided the first movie we wanted to do, we came up with a name, created an email address and contacted the director of said movie all while at a baseball game. Now here we are, on our third birthday, returning to our roots. That’s right we’ve finally got Chris Franco to watch The Battery! We take a look back at the film that started it all and see if after 3 years it still holds up. We also discuss the massive shit Eli Roth is trying to take, the horrible things Alia does for love, how absolutely disgusting Matt is, oh, and we debut a brand new theme song from San Diego horror punk band Batlords! Does Franco realize the greatness of The Battery? Is Mickey still a giant bitch? Does Jorge make it through an episode without losing his shit? Hey, you leave my god damn hair alone! It’s the grey, the bald and the ugly!

Tex Montana Will Survive Trailer Is Brilliant

TexMontanaSo yeah, it’s no secret we’ve got a collective boner for The Battery, we’ve only talked about it in almost every episode of our show. Well director/star Jeremy Gardner just now tweeted a teaser trailer for his new film Tex Montana Will Survive and I nearly pissed myself laughing. Gardner once again teams up with The Battery cinematographer Christian Stella, who spawned the idea for the film by “proudly proclaiming (he) would NEVER film a found footage movie”.

NY Mets Host 2nd Annual Zombie Night

The universe is definitely smiling on me when 2 of my favorite things come together. No, I’m not talking about peanut butter, and bacon; I’m talking about horror and baseball! Unlike every episode of our show thus far, I’m NOT talking about The Battery.

Three B ZineHello there chiiiiiildren! We took a different approach to the episode this week, we were having drinks with our buddy Cody from ThreeBZine.com. and decided “Hey! We’ve had tons of beers, why not do a podcast?!” So we did, and it’s amazing. We don’t do a movie review this time around. Instead, we talk horror news, movies that have scared us, what we want from horror movies, and a lot more. Find out why Jorge feels guilty for banging weenie, what Matt is actually good for, and all kinds of other dumb shit you’ll lose brain cells hearing. Tune in next time when we still do whatever we want; because in a land of crap, we’re the shit!

Who Goes There?! Podcast Episode 15 – Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

Paranormal Activity The Marked OnesIt is my unfortunate duty to report; despite making it through 2013 without a Paranormal Activity film, this year we will have not one, but two. Armed with this knowledge, and a massive hangover from Three Kings Day, we take a look at Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (Cheech’s Revenge). We all know the best way to revive a dying franchise is to give it an overly ethnic spinoff. So come along as we kick this shit off like gang busters! You’ll find out what tequilla no real Mexican drinks, learn all about “squaxing”, catch a sneak peak at the new “Call of Duty: Witches” and find out why Mikey is the most white Mexican you’ve never met. Put on your boots, boys and girls, we’re layin it on thick! It’s the Who Goes There?! Podcast. Tune in next time when we talk about “Here Comes The Devil” with special guest Lauren Ashley Carter!
