Hey internet, shut up! I know the episode was supposed to go up yesterday, but muscle relaxers and and bourbon make Matty go night night. Or maybe listening to the sweet, sultry, sounds of our voices just lulled me to sleep? No, our show is great, and I was on a gooooooood one! This week we talk a little bit about Wolf Creek TV, Chris touches “it”, there’s an impersonation of Donald Trump doing an impersonation, Jorge talks about his newest research project and fear for the new Dark Tower film, then we sink our teeth into (see what we did there?) 2015’s Bite. Brace yourselves, the term “Gallows mad” gets mentioned a couple times. Don’t forget our Frights & Pints charity event this weekend! Get on it. You can donate directly right here if you’d like to help out, and be entered to win a sweet prize pack! Now, we’re going to give you six new assholes. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 69 duuuuuuuuude!
Get ready ’cause this shit is about to get heavy, we just settled all our lawsuits, ooooooooh Debbie, noooooooooo. Right now, there is a film in theaters whose name is on everyone’s lips. No we’re not talking about that big budget, Disney superhero flick. We’re talking about Green Room! We all have deep seeded, punk rock roots, and let me tell you, this movie is the real deal! Joined by the king of obscure references, Miguel Rodriguez (Horrible Imaginings Film Fest), we talk about what you gotta do to get by on the road, sitting down to pee, the appropriate time to apply war paint, desert island bands, mashup potential and a whole lot more. No one messes around wit’ my man, Leroy. I’m gonna cut you, white-meat! It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 68!
I’m completely dumbfounded that we have only covered one Troma film in our three years as a show and we’re fixing that right meow! If you don’t know Troma then buckle up, buttercup! Troma films are jam packed with terrible acting, horrible plots, cringe worthy dialogue, tons of boobs and buckets of blood! This week’s film is no exception. We get our hands dirty with 2015’s
The Slashening and things get nanners (or taters if that floats your boat). We also talk about the aftermath of Texas Frightmare Weekend, Puppet Master news, more…fuckin…Ghostbusters (it’s not going away) and giggle at the new Bloodsucka Jones vs The Creeping Death trailer. Your mouth would make an interesting urinal; it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 67!
It has been said, that every time the Who Goes There Podcast does a major horror release the film is hated and ultimately…made fun of. It has also been said that if a horror film is not rated R how good can it actually be. It has also been said that Matt is a two dimensional character that only likes “tits, blood, gore and wrasslin.”
What happens when we get the uncrowned queen of blood, gore and wrasslin: Gigi Saul Guerrero and her minions (Luchagore Productions/El Gigante/Mexican Barbaro/Madre Dios) to discuss a PG-13 horror film that has none of the above? Will the guys finally like a major studio horror release? Can PG-13 horror actually be good? Does Matt know the difference between and wrestler and a Luchador? How could everything be just a bit more brutal? Tune in for answers to these and other pressing questions as we take a look at 2016, major studio release…The Boy. Wait until they get a load of my Latino heat! It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 59!
We all love monsters, freaks, creeps, and things that go bump in the night, but what if they were real? I’m not talking about the cute little Disney ones either, but actual, rip for face off, slash your guts out monsters. This is the idea behind this weeks feature Adam Green & Alex Pardee’s Digging Up The Marrow. Come listen as we have Chris in the studio for the first time, and Alia for a record setting 200th time, which can only mean one thing, we got shit faced, even came pretty close to turning into monsters ourselves. That’s my mother you’re pissing on, it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 37.
Next time around we’ll be taking a look at 2014’s bat shit crazy Wolfcop! Check it out and play along with us! While you’re being awesome and listening to this check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and subscribe to our show on iTunes.
I find it rather strange that until today, we’ve only done one slasher flick on our podcast (Maniac). Not only are slashers my favorite type of horror movie; they’re jam packed with gruesome, innovative deaths, high body counts, and more boobs than you could shake…well…a bunch of boobs at!
In this episode we’re joined by Chris Woods of The Sleaze Box, to take a look at what is arguably the godfather of the slasher genre as we know it, Mario Bava’s 1971 classic Twitch of the Death Nerve, better known as Bay of Blood! It’s got it all, cheesy dialouge, jiggly boo boos, stupid teenagers, brutal deaths, and buckets of blood! So grab your water wings, because down here, we all float. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 32!
Here it is, our dirty 30! It seems oddly appropriate that our 30th episode would be a Halloween episode, with our good friend Amigo The Devil, about a movie that is “as horror as horror gets”. In what is, without a doubt one of the most funny episodes we’ve ever done, we take a look at 2012’s Found, and things get weird. In what Jorge describes as “the most uncomfortable conversation I’ve ever been a part of”, we’ve got mammary mastication, edible eyeballs, adolescent ball gags, severed head sex acts, blood baths, and our usual stupid jokes. So sit tight, and keep the home fires burning, and if we’re not back by dawn, call the president. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast, episode 30!
We’ve got something really special for you this time around; we watched a movie that we both actually liked…mostly. We’ve got amatuer assassins, He-man style warriors, bath salts, creepy claymation cockroach people, Frankenboobs, African tribesman, and a gay Jesus? Yeah, all of that in a 90 minute movie! We watched ABC’s of Death 2, and boy did we have thoughts and opinions!
From here on out things should be running a little more smoothly, so put your bed sheet over your head, grab your candy bucket, and head to the pumpkin patch, we’re waiting for the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. It’s Who Goes There Podcast episode 29!
Tune in next time when we check out 2012’s Found with our good friends Amigo The Devil! (It’s already been recorded, so yeah, it’ll happen) While you’re being awesome and listening to this check us out on Facebook, Twitter, and subscribe to our show on iTunes.
A few weeks back we posted a hilarious video of a creepy clown, waiting for unsuspecting passerbys and “crushing the head” of a dummy with a mallet and then chasing his new victims. Obviously this video was huge, so huge in fact he’s back for round 2!
Watch the video in the comments. On a side note, how long before we hear about one of these guys getting knocked out? Continue reading
We’ve really outdone ourselves folks, we got an episode up ON TIME for the first time in 2 months! Did someone get sober? Of course not! Buckle up kiddies, because this week we explore human-walrus hybrids, Andrew WK and the atrocity of being anti-pizza, drinking in excess, emotions, and daddy issues, as well as Ti West’s The House of the Devil, a 2009 film that feels like it was set in late 70’s. As always we appreciate your continued support, we have some huge things planned in the coming weeks and encourage you all to stay tuned. With that, put the kids to bed, crack open a beer, put your project off for one more night, and enjoy lucky episode 13!
