Ep310: Spiral: From The Book Of Saw

Happy day! Happy day! Today is cause for a celebration, for not only is today a holiday, today there is a brand new episode of the Who Goes There Podcast! Seems like a perfect reason to overcook food, over inebriate yourself and get some giggles in!

This week we’re going back in time to 2020, but not really; follow me here. So there’s this movie franchise called Saw, and this franchise spawned like eleventy billion sequels and called it quits when they “went out on top”. Years later Chris Rock belted out his love for the franchise and rebooted it, inserting himself in the lead role.

The film was slated for a 2020 release, however covid put the ixnay on that, real quick. So the studio, knowing how good the film is, withheld its release for an entire year so audiences could witness it live, in all it’s glory! We’re so lucky!

Amazing Minimalist Horror Movie Posters

The-Shining-730x1128Artist Tommy St. James has created 10 minimalist posters that promote horror films using iconic props contained within. No words, no titles, no catchphrases, just images. The end result are fantastic posters that demand you take a second to think, recalling the film and the scene from which the props are taken. It’s a great way to pay homage to the films without giving away the answer right away.

St. James tells me that the posters were created using, “…a mix of photography, illustration, and digital media.” Continue reading for a gallery of these 10 incredible posters and see if you can figure them all out! Continue reading
