Ep254: Villains – WGT

Well, it sure as hell FEELS like we’re living in a slow burn, shitty zombie movie. When the gyms are closed, the home gym owners shall inherit the gains!

We want to assure you that thanks to advancements in modern technology, the Who Goes There Podcast will still be releasing weekly episodes! We originally had planned to review The Hunt this week, but with all the theaters closing we decided to push it back a week. Now, you’ll actually be able to watch it on VOD.

Instead, we decided to cover a movie that went under everyone’s radar and is available to stream right now on Hulu, and that movie, is 2019’s Villains. Pennywise and the girl from It Follows totally make out, it’s hella tight. (Review at 29:35) If you guys are looking for things to do we’ve been active on Twitch a lot lately, we’re doing a lot of things for our Patreon supporters, and not only that there are THOUSANDS of hours of free content from other great podcasts like Say You Love Satan, Witchfinger, Forever Midnight and Pens and Pixels podcasts. Check them all out, tell them WGT loves them.

It’s hard to overcome that experience, but, someday you’ll feel that life is wonderful. That’s life, isn’t it? Now, here’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 254!

Ep 228: It Chapter 2 – WGT

A few days ago I was driving home and listening to an old episode of the show; it was the Killing Ground episode from 2017. In the pre-show banter for the episode we talked about how we would have to wait two years for the final season of Game of Thrones and the sequel to It Chapter One.

The reason I bring this up is because we all know how well the final season of Game of Thrones turned out. Now here we are, two years later and It Chapter Two is fresh in theaters. Will It Chapter Two be the sequel that Chapter One deserved, and we all needed? Or will we all be left shaking our fists at the sky and cursing whatever “God” would do this to us?!

We also talk about some other movies, and we talk about some goings-on in the horror community…ummmm we probably insult each other and make dirty jokes too. So that’s fun.

I leave for five minutes, and when I come back everyone’s a fucking alien. Now, if I have to Men In Black your ass, you’re gonna fucking take it! It being the Who Goes There Podcast episode 228!

Ep 131: IT (2017) – WGT

The time, is finally upon us. After what feels like an eternity of waiting, and the laughably bad adaptations of the Dark Tower, and The Mist tv series, we finally get what we’ve all been waiting for; we finally get…IT!

Join us, as we get swept away (see what I did there?) in trying to figure out if 2017’s IT did justice to the original. But wait, there’s more! Download now, and you’ll also get to hear who we think should play the kids as grown ups, how to milk a shark franchise, and what Chris thought of American Horror Story: Cult.

So there ya have it. Wax up your paper boat, put on your goulashes, and run headfirst into a new episode of awesomeness. Don’t worry, we don’t float down here. We’re too fat.

We recommend that until we can get to you, you stand on your heads, with your thumbs up; it’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 131!

Ep 126: Kuso – WGT

What happens when you take one part eccentric rapper, dose him with enough acid to kill an elephant, then give him a camera and tell him to “really take it there”? You get 2017’s Kuso, that’s what happens.

Brought to you from the mind(?) of eccentric rapper Flying Lotus, this directorial debut is definitely one of the most disgusting movies we’ve covered on the Who Goes There Podcast. Join us on a magical journey as we discuss the line between art and insanity. In this episode we also take a look at the first official IT trailer, give our thoughts on the new run-your-own-cult game The Shrouded Isle, and for the second week in a row, we discuss genital mutilation; it’s what we do.

It’s always the same and it’s always different. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 126!

Amazing Minimalist Horror Movie Posters

The-Shining-730x1128Artist Tommy St. James has created 10 minimalist posters that promote horror films using iconic props contained within. No words, no titles, no catchphrases, just images. The end result are fantastic posters that demand you take a second to think, recalling the film and the scene from which the props are taken. It’s a great way to pay homage to the films without giving away the answer right away.

St. James tells me that the posters were created using, “…a mix of photography, illustration, and digital media.” Continue reading for a gallery of these 10 incredible posters and see if you can figure them all out! Continue reading
