Pumpkinhead Being Rebooted By Original Producer

pumpkinhead1The Tracking Board has reported effects legend Stan Winston could see his 1988 Pumpkinhead rebooted!

The original Pumpkinhead was produced by the De Laurentiis Entertainment Group headed up by Italian producer Dino De Laurentiis. De Laurentiis went on to produce Hannibal and Red Dragon. For the rest of the franchise, the Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA) headed up by Brad Krevoy took the reins and is now back to produce the rebooted series, explains the site.

This could turn out to be really awesome, unless Pumpkinhead is CG.

Take a Look At Silence of the Sleep

silenceofthesleepWe try to cover all things horror here, and we don’t cover a whole lot of video games, but we’re pretty excited for the Silence of the Sleep. It’s a 2D adventure horror game, being developed by one guy. It’s a real survival horror game, in the sense that you can’t fight, you run, hide or die. Creepy music, dirty environments, weird creatures, fills my black heart with joy!

Walking Dead – Season 4 Finale

rapture-savageThe picture to the left is what Google gave me when I searched for “giant fuckin letdown”. The phrase “giant fuckin letdown” is what AMC gave me in place of the season 4 finale of The Walking Dead. Don’t worry, we’re not going to go throwing out spoilers, for those of you who haven’t watched yet. I am however curious if you folks were as let down as me, has the Walking Dead boned you too many times? Will you be back next season? I say they stop working on this “companion show”, and work on making a show that isn’t consistantly disappointing.

GWAR Frontman David Brockie Found Dead

oderus-1This is the most sad news we’ve had to report; according to Style Weekly, Dave Brockie, better known as Oderus Urungus, the founder and lead singer of renowned metal band GWAR, has died. Roommates reportedly found Brockie’s body at his home Sunday evening (March 23). “I wish it was a joke,” former GWAR bassist Chris Bopst, a music writer for Style Weekly, tells the site. “Everyone is in shock.” Brockie was 50 years old.

“Dave was one of the funniest, smartest, most creative and energetic persons I’ve known,” former GWAR bassist Mike Bishop told Style Weekly. “He was brash sometimes, always crass, irreverent, he was hilarious in every way. But he was also deeply intelligent and interested in life, history, politics and art. His penchant for scatological humors belied a lucid wit. He was a criminally underrated lyricist and hard rock vocalist, one of the best, ever! A great front man, a great painter, writer, he was also a hell of a bass guitarist. I loved him. He was capable of great empathy and had a real sense of justice.”

Vocalist Tony Foresta of fellow Richmond, Virginia band MUNICIPAL WASTE, which toured with GWAR in 2012, wrote on Instagram: “I’m so devastated right now. One of the most fun, brilliant, inspirational and creative people I’ve ever had the privilege to call a friend has passed. I’m going to miss you so much, pal.”

According to Australia’s TheMusic.com.au, GWAR’s management will issue a statement regarding reports of Brockie’s passing at approximately 1:00 p.m. EST today.
