New Trio of Horror Toys from Mezco

i_love_toys_by_flyart420Yes, more toys, big whoop, wanna fight about it?! Mezco currently has a bunch of sweet preorders up on their website for some killer horror toys. (See what I did there?) There’s 5 different Child’s Play figures alone, but we’re going to showcase three of the best!

New “Feed The Gods” Trailer Released

Feed-The-Gods-Poster-2We now have the latest promo trailer (in the comments) for XLrator Media’s horror-thriller Feed the Gods, which will release through its “Macabre” brand from Bleiberg Entertainment’s genre label Compound B.

The film, which stars Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil: Afterlife, Diary of the Dead), Tyler Johnston (“The Killing,” “Supernatural”), Emily Tennant (Jennifer’s Body) and Aleks Paunovic (This Means War), “follows the journey of two brothers in search of their long lost parents. Universal Sets Release Dates For Krampus & Spectral

Merry-KrampusUniversal Pictures will be celebrating Christmas with their evil Santa Claus movie, Krampus, by releasing the Legendary Pictures’ anthology on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, setting it up for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The film, a twisted horror comedy set around the Christmas holiday, is to be directed by Trick ‘r Treat‘s Michael Dougherty. Dave Grohl Channels Carrie For Ice Bucket Challenge

CarrieBy now we’ve all seen this ridiculous ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS. Whether you’ve done the challenge, or are on the “don’t waste water” side of things, the “challenge” has been ahuge success and given us some great videos, like this new one from Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl channeling his inner “Carrie“.

The clip starts off innocently enough, with Grohl explaining who he is, the purpose of the video, and then calling out Stephen King (who accepted his challenge), John Travolta, and Jack Black. Continue reading →

Waxwork Records to Release Starry Eyes Soundtrack on Vinyl

starry-eyes-posterWaxwork Records has announced that they will be releasing the score to this year’s Starry Eyes, a gory horror-thriller that the company describes as a mix between, “…Polanski and Cronenberg.” The music was composed by Jonathan Snipes, who also composed Room 237.

The film is described as: “A hopeful young starlet uncovers the ominous origins of the Hollywood elite and enters into a deadly agreement in exchange for fame and fortune.”

View The Uncut Opening of “SoulMate”

Soulmate-CoverWitching Hour Films, the UK-based production company behind Axelle Carolyn’s feature debut Soulmate has made available in full the film’s opening scene, widely discussed after being cut to adhere to demands by the BBFC.

An ongoing topic of conversation between Carolyn and much of her followers and the horror community, the scene below is perhaps most shocking because it’s tone is visceral and poetic, rather than graphic and gross, as the forcing of cuts would have you believe. The mandate to trim is something of a baffling one, and certainly unfortunate, but not uncharacteristic of the British Board of Film Classification. Continue reading →
