Stephen King’s Bad Little Kid Does Hoodrat Things, Gets Big Screen Treatment

hoodratStephen King recently wrote a short story entitled, Bad Little Kid, it has recently been reported that Laurent Bouzereau and his production company Nedland Media, Inc., has optioned the story for a feature film.

Bouzereau, who is also planning on directing the film, wrote and directed the 2011 film A Night at the Movies: The Horrors of Stephen King, which featured King discussing horror films and their popularity with moviegoers. Continue reading

You Can Still Get The Ghostbusters Glow in the Dark 10″!

ghostbustersglowinthedarkvinyl2014I wasn’t able to make it out to Record Store Day 2014, but 2 of the releases I really wanted are still available! One of them I’m keeping a secret, however, the Ghostbusters glow in the dark 10″ is now available for preorder over at Sound Stage Direct!

The “ecto-green”, glow in the dark 10″ was released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the film, and features the hit Ghostbusters theme (as made famous by Ray Parker Jr.) backed with the original 1984 dance remixes of the track. Best part, it’s only $17!

Maniac Cop Gets Remake

maniac-cop-01With just about a week until the upcoming Cannes market, Wild Bunch has revealed they will be producing a remake of William Lustig’s 1988 cult classic Maniac Cop.

ScreenDaily is reporting; the production is spearheaded by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, who is producing alongside Wild Bunch, and Lustig, director of the original. Continue reading

Friday The 13th TV Show Announced, To Explore Voorhees Origins

jasonFirst we got Bates Motel, a tv show based on Psycho, then Krueger: The Slasher From Elm Street was announced (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and now Friday the 13th is getting a television show. (ANOES and FT13 both already had tv shows in the 90’s)
