Free Game Based On Eli Roth’s Green Inferno

greeninfernoEli Roth has launched a mobile game based on his upcoming The Green Inferno, in theaters September 5.

The movie follows a group of student activists who from New York City travel to the Amazon to protect a dying tribe, but crash in the jungle and are taken hostage by the very natives they saved.

The game, which is absolutely free on both iTunes and Google Play – starts in the jungle, after a big plane crash, where we find eight survivors surrounded by ravenous opponents. Continue reading

Del Toro Wants To Release Two Versions of At The Mountains of Madness, Simultaneously

AtTheMountainsOfMadness500Guillermo del Toro always seems to have a dozen films on his plate. One of them that has been simmering for a while is his dream project that’s been in cinema purgatory for years: H.P. Lovecraft’s At the Mountains of Madness. Recently he stated that he’s considering compromising with Universal to bring his vision to the big screen, albeit a toned-down PG-13 version. Now there’s more news concerning the project. First Official Poster For Kevin Smith’s Tusk

Tusk-663x1024A24 shared the first official poster (left) for their upcoming horror film, Tusk, about a man (Justin Long) who is surgically turned into a walrus by a mysterious seafarer (Michael Parks).

The pic, inspired by The Human Centipede, also stars Haley Joel Osment and Genesis Rodriguez. It was acquired by A24 for release later this year.

Rigor Mortis Trailer Fights Spirits With Kung Fu!

Some announced theaters are: New York (Village East), Los Angeles (AMC Atlantic Time Square 14), San Francisco (AMC Metreon), San Diego (Gas Lamp 15), Seattle (AMC Pacific Place 11), and Honolulu (Pearlrige West 16).

French Film Horsehead Is Pure Mindfuck

creepy-horse-head-mask-20100506-132047Horsehead Pictures and Starfix Productions are proud to present the first trailer for Horsehead (french title FIÈVRE), the first feature-length film by director Romain Basset from a script he wrote with Karim Chériguène.

The film will be screened for buyers at the Cannes International Film Market on May 16th and 18th by international sales representative Reel Suspects. Horsehead will be released in France in the fall of 2014. Continue reading

Maniac Cop Gets Remake

maniac-cop-01With just about a week until the upcoming Cannes market, Wild Bunch has revealed they will be producing a remake of William Lustig’s 1988 cult classic Maniac Cop.

ScreenDaily is reporting; the production is spearheaded by Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, who is producing alongside Wild Bunch, and Lustig, director of the original. Continue reading
