EPISODE 433: THE NIGHT FLIER

Greetings from the 9th Circle of Hell!

Every now ad then the Lord of WGT Patreon (you should join btw) picks a movie for us to watch and review. And so it came to pass that Lord Hans bestowed us with a choice between the 1997 HBO movie adaptation of Stephen King’s The Night Flier, or The Dread Central production, Benny Loves You. As you can see, we decided on the former. Worry not friends, as we of course make sure to address our reasoning behind this critical decision on the episode.

Once this this little series of King adaptations is wrapped up we get into the 1980 Ken Russell directed Paddy Chayefsky written psych/scifi horror freakout of ALTERED STATES before weighing in on Ryan Coogler’s 2025 genre-mashup runaway hit, SINNERS.

“He was wearing a big cloak he was. Red as a fire engine inside, black as a woodchuck’s asshole outside. And when it spread out behind him, it looked like a goddamn bat’s wing it did. After talking to these crazy people all day every single day, their stories can get to you. Creep in like some fucking cancer and pretty soon, all this starts making sense.” It’s the Who Goes There Podcast Episode 433!

Incredibly NSFW Trailer for Vampyres Remake

VAMPYRESFeatuJose Larraz’s 1974 UK/Spanish sex and death shocker Vampyres is one of the greatest Euro-erotic horror films of all time and the idea of remaking such a gritty, sensual gem is unthinkable. But Spanish director Victor Matellano (WAX) not only thought about it, he did it. After a year in production, Matellano’s Vampyres is done and FANGORIA has the first look at its ultra-hot and super bloody trailer!

Like the original, the film finds a pair of bisexual, sadistic female vampires shacked up in a Gothic manor, where they lure men and women with promises of debauchery that always ends in orgasmic death. Continue reading

Hemlock Grove Season 2 Trailer, A Lot Less Twilighty

hemlock-grove-poster-691x1024The full trailer for the second season of the Emmy nominated Netflix original series, Hemlock Grove, has been released (in the comments) and it looks a lot less Twilighty bromance.

The gory supernatural dramatic thriller from executive producer Eli Roth will premiere on Friday, July 11th at 12:01 AM PT.

Executive Producer Eli Roth says Netflix supported them taking the series in a “dangerous direction” stating that “they encouraged us to go even further – into a scarier, darker, and sexier place,” he explained. “We guarantee you won’t see anything like this anywhere else on television.Continue reading

Only Lovers Left Alive Trailer

only-lovers-left-aliveOne thing I learned early on in my marriage is “happy wife, happy life” so when my wife saw the first trailer for The Only Lovers Left Alive and gushed about it, I knew I had to keep an eye on this movie. With that, I am happy to tell you Sony Pictures has finally released an official U.S. trailer that’s pretty representational of what you’ll see in theaters April 11.

 )

The pic “tells the tale of two fragile and sensitive vampires, Adam (Tom Hiddleston) and Eve (Tilda Swinton), who have been lovers for centuries. Both are cultured intellectuals with an all-embracing passion for music, literature and science, who have evolved to a level where they no longer kill for sustenance, but still retain their innate wildness.”
