NBC’s Constantine Finalizes Cast

hellblazerCasting is wrapped for the pilot NBC has ordered for “Constantine,” better known to DC Comics fans as “Hellblazer.”

After the story of John Constantine was told on the silver screen in a 2005 movie starring Keanu Reeves, I have hopes that the small-screen series will 1) be picked up, and 2) will rely more on the canon from the creators of “Hellblazer.”

Showtime’s Penny Dreadful Gets a Trailer

There’s been lots of buzz surrounding the new Showtime show Penny Dreadful for quite awhile now (pitched to multiple channels over the years), but finally we have a trailer and it’s looking to be creepy!

Some of literature’s most famously terrifying characters, including Dr. Frankenstein and his creature, Dorian Gray and iconic figures from the novel Dracula, become embroiled in Victorian London.

The series was created by Oscar nominee John Logan (Any Given Sunday, Skyfall) and the cast boasts some pretty big names, including Timothy Dalton, Reeve Carney, Josh Hartnett, Harry Treadaway, Rory Kinnear, Billie Piper, and Eva Green, with the first two episodes helmed by The Orphanage director Juan Antonio Bayona.

Catch it on Showtime, May 11th!

The Evil Within Announce Release Date and Cover Art

Remember when Resident Evil was actually a survival horror game, that was both horrifying, and had an emphasis on survival? Well, RE creator Shinji Mikami does, and he’s ready to terrify us again, with his new game The Evil Within.

Who Goes There?! Podcast Episode 16 – Gettin Shitty w/ ThreeBZine

Three B ZineHello there chiiiiiildren! We took a different approach to the episode this week, we were having drinks with our buddy Cody from ThreeBZine.com. and decided “Hey! We’ve had tons of beers, why not do a podcast?!” So we did, and it’s amazing. We don’t do a movie review this time around. Instead, we talk horror news, movies that have scared us, what we want from horror movies, and a lot more. Find out why Jorge feels guilty for banging weenie, what Matt is actually good for, and all kinds of other dumb shit you’ll lose brain cells hearing. Tune in next time when we still do whatever we want; because in a land of crap, we’re the shit!

Kevin Smith Finishes Krampus Script

Kevin Smith’s “retirement” is turning out to be more productive than his directorial career. Since “retiring” the director of Clerks recently wrapped principal photography on his podcast-inspired horror flick Tusk and already has another script at the ready, breaking the news on his Facebook page:

Paranormal Activity The Marked OnesIt took us less than a month, but Andy and I have finished the screenplay for a flick we’re calling COMES THE KRAMPUS! It’s 99 pulse-pounding pages of what’s essentially SModCo’s CREEPSHOW, with four terrifying tales stitched together by a freaky framing device.”

Who Goes There?! Podcast Episode 15 – Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones

Paranormal Activity The Marked OnesIt is my unfortunate duty to report; despite making it through 2013 without a Paranormal Activity film, this year we will have not one, but two. Armed with this knowledge, and a massive hangover from Three Kings Day, we take a look at Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (Cheech’s Revenge). We all know the best way to revive a dying franchise is to give it an overly ethnic spinoff. So come along as we kick this shit off like gang busters! You’ll find out what tequilla no real Mexican drinks, learn all about “squaxing”, catch a sneak peak at the new “Call of Duty: Witches” and find out why Mikey is the most white Mexican you’ve never met. Put on your boots, boys and girls, we’re layin it on thick! It’s the Who Goes There?! Podcast. Tune in next time when we talk about “Here Comes The Devil” with special guest Lauren Ashley Carter!
