EPISODE 440: 28 YEARS LATER & BRING HER BACK

Greetings haomies! As we march onward into techno/christofascist hell, this episode we review not one, but two of the year’s most highly anticipated genre films, 28 YEARS LATER and BRING HER BACK.  

For those counting, it’s been 18 years since the 2007 sequel to 2002’s modern horror classic, 28 Days Later. In the years since, Danny Boyle has won an oscar and Alex Garland graduated from screenwriter to becoming a formidable director (and show creator) in his own right. What’d these two come up with for the long awaited sequel, 28 YEARS LATER, and what did the three of us think? It’s on Netflix currently if you’ve yet to see it or would like to give it a rewatch.  

BRING HER BACK is the follow up to the film debut of brothers Danny and Michael Philipou, writer/directors of 2022’s breakout A24 horror hit, Talk To Me. How did the Brothers Philipou, of former youtube horror/comedy RackaRacka video fame, do in their sophomore effort? Bring Her Back just became available to stream on HBOMAX.

Who Goes There Podcast Episode 51 – Deathgasm

This week’s movie is bat shit insanity from New Zealand in the form of Deathgasm! We’ve been waiting for this movie for quite some time and it’s finally here! For the first time we’re recording out of Casa de Franco, we bust out our horrible Dethklok impersonations, Jorge explains his problem with the metals, Matt is sleep deprived and delirious, Chris sets us up to sing Sabotage and Too Many Cooks, and we missed both cues. We also manage to throw in some comic book news, musical tidbits, a little vinyl talk AND horror tv, it’s almost like we know what we’re doing. That’s just what we call pillow talk, baby. It’s the Who Goes There Podcast episode 51.

Hilarious Ouija Board Prank!

In conjunction with Universal’s Ouija, out October 24th, a new prank video (in the comments) has been released, utilizing the famous board game for some real scares.

“This Ouija Psychic” has a unique ability: she can pop her eyes out at any time (she became famous for this). A remote controlled planchette and a dead person breaking through the floor were added to the mix to create a terrifying psychic reading experience. Hidden cameras captured the whole thing. This film is truly a classic piece of cinema history, and we gush all over both the 1982 John Carpenter classic, as well as the 2011 prequel.
